Most herbalists will tell you if they had to choose only one herbal supplement to carry in their first aid kit, it would be Cayenne.  Taken by mouth, cayenne’s ability to halt a heart attack in its tracks has been documented throughout history.   Cayenne’s ability to cauterize a bleeding wound both internally and externally also makes it a wonderful emergency tool to have on hand.  Surprisingly, cayenne, in its raw state, is also suggested by many herbalists to also treat ulcers and digestive disorders.  I personally carry a bottle in my car, purse, and around the house.
